Personalized Attention
As a community college, we concentrate on helping you learn rather than on making a name for ourselves. We want every student to succeed, whether you’re transferring to Harvard to starting your career when you finish your degree at Highland. With an average class size of only 23 students, you can expect to receive some personalized attention.

Guarantee Your Credits Transfer
Take advantage of the professional advisors in Highland’s student resources department. They will help you plan your schedule to match the requirements of the college or university you will attend next. By working with an advisor, you should never have to worry about the transfer process.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Although we’re the bargain of higher education, we know your college degree won’t be cheap. Starting at Highland will cut your college costs by at least $5,000, but taking advantage of financial aid and scholarships will reduce your expenses even more. Last year we gave away over $3 million dollars in scholarships, grants, and financial aid.

Free Services
We offer a range of free services to help students achieve their goals. Placement testing, advising, financial aid counseling, and free tutoring are just the beginning. Our students (full-time students only, beginning fall 2009) also enjoy a free YMCA membership and discount ticket prices to College events.
