What Are Telecourses?

Telecourses are college credit courses prepared by national educational experts in a particular subject. They differ from traditional courses in instructional methods, attendance requirements, and convenience to students. In most cases, these courses offer the same amount of credit as the on-campus counterparts. Take a look at the telecourses. You may decide one is for you.

The instructional tapes are available for viewing at various sites throughout the Highland College District. At some locations they may be checked out and viewed overnight at home. Most courses consist of 30 videotaped programs each 30 minutes in length. The tapes supplement the textbook. A study guide is used to help the student get the most from the viewing.

Instructors are Highland faculty. They will be available by phone or personal visit during regular office hours for assistance of any kind. Please do not hesitate to call them if you need help.
