“Moonlight Serenade”
FREEPORT—The Highland Community College Big Band is combining talents with the Freeport High School Jazz Ensemble for a “Moonlight Serenade” on Saturday, March 13th from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Freeport Masonic Temple Ballroom.
“Moonlight Serenade,” an evening of great big band music, will be presented for both listening and dancing pleasure. Bill Petersen, the director for both the HCC Big Band and the FHS Jazz Ensemble, said, “This promises to be a very special evening of wonderful music, food, and fun. We are inviting all our surrounding communities to take a stroll down memory lane to the Masonic Temple Ballroom and to come out and enjoy an evening of marvelous dancing music.”
Come enjoy the classic jazz tunes of the big band era in the legendary Masonic Temple Ballroom and experience an evening that promises to be as much fun as you are willing to have. Dancers of all ages are expected and welcome. Appetizers and soft drinks will be available. Dress up or dress casually, bring a date or just bring yourself, but don’t miss out.
Admission to this special concert and dance is $7.50. Tickets are available at the Highland Community College Box Office, 815.235.6127, Monday through Friday between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on March 13th.
