HCC to hold early Express Registration along with tuition incentives

Highland Community College will hold a special early Express Registration event on Tuesday, June 16. Students can conveniently prepare for the 2015 Fall Semester by taking placement tests, meeting with an advisor and registering for classes in a single visit. Classes begin Monday, August 17.

Students are encouraged to complete their 2015-2016 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before attending Express Registration at Staff will be available for students needing assistance with completing the FAFSA during the event.

  • Placement tests will be administered between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Advising services will be available after 5 p.m. for those completing placement testing.
  • Advisors and admissions staff will be assisting students from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The bookstore will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

As an early registration incentive, any student enrolling in at least one newly developed course by June 30, will receive a tuition waiver for one credit hour, or a credit of equal value to be used for purchases at the J. Rosemary Shockey HCC Bookstore. This incentive is valued at $123 and must be used for the fall 2015 semester. The one credit hour tuition waiver will be awarded to all students who have already registered or will register by June 30 for a newly developed course for the fall 2015 semester.

-  CJS 102 Introduction to Corrections

-  CJS 202 Juvenile Delinquency

-  ECE 213 Inclusive Environments for Infants and Toddlers

-  HIST 299 Introduction to Museum Studies

-  HOSP 101 Introduction to Hospitality

-  HOSP 103 Front Desk Management

-  HOSP 113 Housekeeping Management/Rooms Division

-  HOSP 115 Supervision and HR

-  MCOM 110 Introduction to Mass Communication

-  MCOM 120 Introduction to Video Production – Field

-  MCOM 220 Introduction to Public Relations

-  MUS 153 Introduction to Audio Production

-  SPTP 264 Precision Farming Technology
