Terrarium gets a new backdrop

The Natural Science and Math Center at Highland Community College is looking more colorful these days. Thanks to a donation of $50 from the Biology department to HCC's SOVA (Student Organization for Visual Arts), students were able to add a tropical scene to the backdrop of the terrarium located in the northeast corner of the lobby. New plants will be added to provide greenery around the limestone rock.

Tony Grahame, biology instructor, approached Bob Apolloni, advisor to SOVA about getting Highland students involved in the project. Curt Yoder, president of SOVA said the club is proud to be able to spruce up the existing terrarium. This is the first project by SOVA on campus at Highland.
