Chris Kuberski

Chris Kuberski joined HCC as Executive Vice President in July 2015. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois in the area of English, Secondary Education, and a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Chris is working toward a Community College Leadership Certificate from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Chris served as English/Speech Instructor and Liberal Arts Division Chair at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois, before becoming Interim Vice President of Academic Instruction in July 2008 and then Vice President of Academic Instruction in May 2009. Prior to her years at Rend Lake College, Chris served as an English as a Second Language Instructor at Southern Illinois University both in Nakajo, Japan and at Carbondale, Illinois.

As Vice President of Academic Instruction, Chris was responsible for General Education divisions, assessment of student learning, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Alternative Education and the Murphy-Wall Campus. She also served as the Accreditation Liaison for the Higher Learning Commission. In addition to her administrative duties at Rend Lake, Chris served as the President of the ICCB Chief Academic Officers (CAOs) and continues to serve on several ICCB committees representing Illinois CAOs.
