Selection Procedure

Following the application deadline date for each vacancy, applications are reviewed by the Office of Human Resources and the screening committee.

The screening committees are comprised of persons familiar with the department, the position and the hiring criteria. Those applicants selected for further consideration are invited to interview. Finalists may be invited for a second interview with members of our administration.

Approval by the President and Board of Trustees is required for employment with Highland Community College.

Testing and Skills Demonstrations – Candidates may be asked to demonstrate their relevant job skills by taking a written test, operating required equipment, making a presentation, or performing other position-related tasks.
